It is impossible for every reader’s morality to be addressed in a single article. Search engines consider these tactics borderline unfair, otherwise they would be White or Black. A website that utilizes Grey Hat may find itself penalized further down the road when an algorithm update bans that particular tactic. If you are not actually handling your own SEO, be sure to ask if the provider’s methods are White Hat and what their policies on Grey Hat tactics are. A “professional” willing to skirt grey areas may not be the best choice for a healthy, long-standing internet presence.
